The Hazel K. Goddess Fund for Stroke Research in Women
The Goddess Fund's mission includes funding grants for young investigators who will focus their research careers on stroke in women.

NIH: Building Interdisciplinary Research Careers in Women's Health (BIRCWH)
The NIH's Office of Research on Women's Health and other cosponsors will support research career development of junior faculty members who have recently completed clinical training or postdoctoral fellowships, and who are commencing basic, translational, clinical and/or health services research relevant to women's health.

National Women's Health Information Center
This Web site lists various updated funding opportunities pertaining to women's health.

The Women's Fund for Health Education and Research
This organization provides annual grants for research into the medical problems of women. Previous funded grant topics include the genetics of endometriosis, HIV and childbirth, osteoporosis, and many other investigations focusing on women's health issues. Women's International Science Collaboration (WISC) Program
The Women's International Science Collaboration Program (WISC) is a partnership between the American Association for the Advancement of Science and the National Science Foundation to increase the participation of women in international scientific research. WISC awards on a competitive basis small travel grants to U.S. scientists to plan and design new collaborations with colleagues in Central/Eastern and Western Europe, the Newly Independent States of the former Soviet Union, Near East, Middle East, Africa, the Americas, Pacific, and Asia. These activities are expected to lead to full research proposals that are submitted to the National Science Foundation or other funders.
